5. Appendix - Temporary Procedures
5.1 General Provisions
This document supplements the standard operating procedures for temporary procedures at OTHH.
The runway remediation phases for RWY 16L/34R have concluded. The previous phase-specific procedures are no longer applicable and have been superseded by the temporary departure instructions detailed below.
These procedures shall remain in effect while the associated NOTAMs are valid.
5.2 Temporary Departure Instructions
- Temporary departure instructions apply to all departures from OTHH as specified below. Controllers shall issue the applicable instruction according to the runway in use.
- The initial climb automatically set on the departure list should be disregarded.
- DCL for OTHH should not be used until the sector file is updated to include headings in the clearance. Look out for updates in the "Sectorfile-Updates" channel in our discord.

Warning
The temporary procedures (e.g. YAMEEN 1) do not replace the conventional RNAV SIDs (e.g. TULUB1A). Please standardise yourself with the updated phraseology which may be found under section 5.3.
5.3 Departure Clearance Phraseology
- The applicable temporary departure instruction shall be included in the departure clearance in addition to the assigned SID.
- The heading and climb instruction in the example shall be amended to match the runway in use, as specified in Section 5.2.
Example
Pilot: "Hamad Clearance Delivery, QTR1Y, Boeing 777-300ER, information A, stand C10, requesting FL210, to Dubai."
Controller: "QTR1Y, Hamad Clearance Delivery, information A correct, cleared to Dubai via the ALSEM2E departure. When passing 500 ft, turn right heading 020 degrees, climb to altitude 4000 ft, expect to rejoin assigned SID, squawk 2612."
Pilot: "Cleared to Dubai via the ALSEM2E departure. When passing 500 ft, turn right heading 020 degrees, climb to altitude 4000 ft, expect to rejoin assigned SID, squawk 2612, QTR1Y."
Controller: "QTR1Y, readback correct, QNH 1012, report ready for pushback."
5.4 TMA Specific Procedures
Doha TMA shall provide vectors as necessary to rejoin the assigned SID via the following points.
